Jerry Carter is a Republican candidate for District 48 in the Florida House of Representatives, a seat covering part of Polk County. A Winter Haven native, he formerly served as a Polk County commissioner and chaired the Polk County Republican Executive Committee from 1998 to 2002. In 2024, he placed second in the six-candidate Republican primary for this seat.
