What we collect, and only when you send it

Nothing here asks you to create an account, and reading the site collects nothing about you. Information reaches us only when you choose to submit one of four forms.

• Contact form — your name and email, optionally your phone, city and ZIP, and the subject and message you write.
• Volunteer form — the same, plus which kinds of work interest you and when you are available.
• Membership application — the same, plus your street address. That one is required: committee membership is organized by precinct, and your precinct is determined by where you live. Voter ID number and how long you have been registered are optional.
• Community event submission — the event details, your organization, and a contact name, email and phone that we do not publish.

Where it goes

Everything you submit is stored first in the committee's own database, and that stays the authoritative copy. A notification is emailed to the committee so that a person actually sees it.

Your name, email and phone are also sent to Brevo, an outside company we use to keep track of who has contacted us and to send email. With them goes a small amount of context — your city and ZIP, and depending on the form, your volunteer interests, your precinct, or the organization you represent.

What we deliberately do not send to Brevo

Your street address never leaves this site. Neither does the text of your message, your voter ID number, or anything you write in a notes or motivation field. Those stay in the committee's own records.

Being contacted is separate from being subscribed

Writing to the committee does not subscribe you to anything. You join our email list only if you tick the box that says so — and the exact wording you agreed to is stored with your submission, so it can be shown back to you later. Every email we send carries an unsubscribe link.

What the website itself records

We use a privacy-friendly analytics tool that counts page views without cookies and without building a profile of you. This site sets no cookies on its public pages.

To stop automated abuse of the forms we keep a one-way cryptographic hash of the sending IP address rather than the address itself, and use it only to count submissions from the same place within a short window. The address itself is never written down.

How long we keep it, and how to have it removed

We keep what you send until you ask us to remove it. There is no automatic deletion schedule. We do not sell, rent or trade your information to anyone.

To see what we hold, correct it, or have it deleted, email us and say so — we will remove you from both the committee's records and Brevo. Unsubscribing from email is faster: use the link in any message we send.

Children

This site is intended for adults taking part in the political process. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

If this changes

This page is maintained alongside the code that handles your information, so a change to one is a change to the other. The date above is when it was last reviewed.
