Senator Colleen Burton represents District 12 in the Florida Senate, a district encompassing the majority of Polk County. She previously served eight years in the Florida House representing Lakeland before her election to the Senate in 2022.
As a senior member of the Senate Republican majority, Burton chairs the Health Policy Committee and sits on Judiciary and Agriculture.
