Representative Scott Franklin represents Florida's 18th congressional district, anchored in Polk County. A Naval Aviator who flew combat missions in the Persian Gulf and retired after 26 years of service, he built an insurance business in Lakeland and served on the Lakeland City Commission before his election to Congress in 2020.
Endorsed for re-election by President Donald Trump, Franklin serves on the House Appropriations Committee and the House Committee on Science, Space, and Technology, advocating for national defense readiness, agricultural disaster relief, and fiscal discipline in Washington. He faces Democrat Curtis Gibson on the November 3 ballot.
