About First Friday
First Friday runs from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. in Downtown Lakeland. Kentucky Avenue becomes a five-block Makers Market and exhibitor showcase, with food, local crafts, giveaways, family activities, streets closed to traffic, and downtown shops and restaurants open late. The event is free and family-friendly.

City-owned permit lots and garages are free after 5:00 p.m. Private lots marked with blue 717 Parking signs are not free. Free valet is offered at Lemon Street and Tennessee Avenue. Streets inside the event footprint are closed, so allow extra time and consider carpooling.
